The Faculty of Agriculture & Plantation Management, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka calls applications from Diploma Holders in Agriculture to enroll five persons to follow the B.Sc. (Agri.) Honours Degree Programme.
Eligibility Criteria
Permanent employees in the agriculture and plantation sectors of government organizations who possess the following qualifications are eligible to sit for the entrance examination. 2. 3.
(1). A two year Diploma in Agriculture from any School of Agriculture of the Department of Agriculture, Advance Technological Institute of SLIATE, Aquinas College, Technical Training Institute (TTI) Katunayake, Vocational Training Authority, or any other recognized Institutions approved by the Ministry of Higher Education or National Diploma in Plantation Management offered by NIPM Athurugiriya.
(2). Academic Qualifications
i. G.C.E. (O/L) Six passes in one sitting with four credit passes including Science and Mathematics
ii. G.C.E. (A/L) (Old Syllabus) Passes in at least three (03) of following G.C.E. (A/L) subjects in one sitting; Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Physics, Pure Maths, Applied Maths and Agriculture.
OR
G.C.E. (A/L) (New Syllabus)
Passes in all three (03) of following G.C.E. (A/L) subjects in one sitting with Z score more than zero; Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Combine Maths and Agriculture.
(3). Experience:
Five years (05) of experience (on the closing date of application) as a permanent employee in the government in the field of Agriculture or plantations or related sectors, after obtaining the Diploma in Agriculture.
(4). Age Limit:
Should be below 40 years of age, on the closing date of application
